Here in the south we are counting down the days until college football kicks off – no pun intended! It’s just a fun excuse to get together with friends or family on a cool afternoon on the weekends…enjoy fellowship…eat yummy food you wouldn’t normally cook and hang out while the game is on.

I’m also all about easy and budget-friendly tailgate parties aka food! If I can throw it all in my Instant Pot or Slow Cooker – even better. If I can find most everything I need at one stop – we call this a WIN! So one location and one great price can’t be beat! Here is my list of what I was able to grab at my local Dollar General for my tailgate recipe and party idea.

Instant Pot Appetizer

    • Plates
    • Cups
    • Dr Pepper® – which is The official drink of college football fans
    • Napkins
    • Adorable serving tray with handles
    • Chips
    • Cheese
    • Cream Cheese
    • Ranch Dressing
    • Ice

I already had my chicken and cajun seasoning (for the recipe below) – on hand so that was a WIN!
