STOP! Before you go any further, have you read this article?  3 Reasons You need to Print your Pictures?  If you have…keep on reading, if you haven’t stop and click over, it won’t take you but a minute and get caught up with us on this series!

Today we are featuring Metal Prints from Mpix.

Metal prints – have you heard of them? They are becoming more and more popular, thanks to their high-gloss finish and unique style. One way I like to describe this prints look is- a shiny sheen like you might get from an oil spill!  These beautiful prints will definitely catch your eye!

My husband and I love to travel, so I knew I wanted to feature a photo from one of our trips. I envisioned a colorful scene that would really pop with the metal’s shine, and am quite pleased with the image I chose! I think some of the best choices for this type of print would be an image that includes nature, or simply lots of color.

The designing and ordering process couldn’t have been easier. You just choose your print size, drag and drop your file into the allotted space, and click ‘add to cart’! Retouching services are also offered, if your image needs a bit of extra work. They have a nice variety of sizes, and my 12×18 is the perfect fit for what I needed. The print itself is on the thinner side, but very durable.

The delivery was quick, as well: 2-3 business days in lab plus shipping. Mine arrived in under a week! It was well-protected in the box, and I also received a few coupons for my next order.

Another plus about the metal prints is that the smaller sizes offer an easel on the back, while the larger sizes are a float mount. I chose to place mine in a barn wood frame I’ve been itching to use, and I love the contrast of the gloss against such a rustic frame!

I highly recommend mPix’s metal prints to anyone who is looking for something out of the ordinary, as well as a new way to display favorite pictures!
