Hey friends.  If you have been around me long enough, you know I enjoy coffee.  I don’t have to have it to make my day complete or to get my day started, rather I like the coziness of it, the fact it gives me a mere 10 minutes to sit and relax.  There is just something about it for me.  I also enjoy it with friends over a good conversation and time!

On the other hand…as you all know the froo-froo coffee can rack up on the money budget quite fast…I literally see $5 going out of my pocket if we go through a drive through and grab a coffee treat…it’s so hard for me to do that, unless I have a gift card!!!!!!  Right?  Well I know most people aren’t as tight as I am, but in all honesty this is my biggest money saving tip for you!!!  Make your own!  You can make some amazing coffee drinks right in the comfort of your own home…if you need it on the road you can even buy really adorable travel mugs/cups so you’d be all set!  I grabbed this Gevalia Cold Brew Concentrate at Walmart for a mere $5.92 each.  The quality and taste is so rich and not bitter!  *clapping hands*  So how does this save you money?  Well, there are 8 servings to a container…you do the math!  That’s like around a 74 cents a piece, including your recipe ingredients too!  WINNNNNNN!!!!

Ok- so one very important time saver for you!  When you go to Walmart look in the regular coffee aisle for the Gevalia Cold Brew Concentrate!  It’s not in the refrigerator section…yep I’m speaking by experience!!!!!!

*side note* I also snagged the Ibotta rebate– you can thank me later for that savings!

So here’s the step by step recipe!

Iced Coffee Recipe

1- Place ice in your cup *I like a glass mug because it’s pretty*
2- Pour 1/2 cup of Gevalia Cold Brew Concentrate over ice
3- Next pour 1/2 milk or heavy cream
4- Lastly pour 1/4 cup of Gevalia Cold Brew Concentrate
I like the layered look and affect!
5- Top with whipped cream, drizzled with chocolate syrup and sprinkled with chocolate sprinkles – for fun!

If you prefer yours a bit sweeter you add additional chocolate syrup or a sweetener of your choice!

Now that we are looking at the summer time ahead of us which means the mister is off of work for the summer and we’ll be going in fast forward motion on the house.  I can see these in our, very near, future…on an afternoon break in the heat of the summer!

Thanks to a friend I stole her recipe and now I’m sharing it with you!!!!   Do you have any iced coffee tips or favorite recipes?
