This post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency on behalf of OshKosh B’gosh; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

A moms dream is to have beautiful pictures of her children.

A mom wants to be able to enjoy these memories and hold onto each stage of her children, to never forget.  These pictures will not only bring her joy, at the same time, last for generations to come.

Did I mention how stressful pictures can be for a mom?

From what to wear, to coordinating a date/time and plan with a photographer, to how will the kids behave and how will the weather fair for pictures.  It’s a lot to juggle.

So today lets talk about what to wear!

When choosing outfits for pictures for my little one I always love to choose something that represents her but is something a little bit “out of the box”.  Kids fashion can be a lot of fun for a mom, especially for little ones!  This year for our Christmas pictures my go to was OshKosh B’gosh for my little one.  The convenience of online shopping or if there is a store near you, they are my latest fav.  Here’s a sweet little coupon code for you!

Here is my thought process along the way.

1- Choose a color scheme that coordinates with your home.

I know that sounds weird, but these portraits will be on my wall…so if my vibe isn’t graffiti walls then I don’t want to take her portraits by a graffiti wall with neon colors on.  I want to coordinate with my feel and look….choose YOU, not what is popular or what everyone else is doing.

2- Kick it up a notch.

Don’t wear something you wear everyday…kick it up a bit.  Maybe you are a jeans and t shirt type…but kick it up a notch with a new pair of jeans or a new t shirt and top it with a sweater and add a hat…just be a little different, than your everyday but still be you!  I know that seems tricky.

3- Use something they will wear again.

Don’t go spend hundreds of dollars on something they will not wear again.  I am so down to earth so my concept is buy something we all love and they’ll wear over and over again until they outgrow it.  If I can duel for a Christmas party, to a New Years gathering or a birthday party to pictures, I’m a happy camper!

4- Shopping Tips.

When you are shopping, don’t be afraid to try something you normally wouldn’t gravitate too…sometimes those end up being our favorites when we try them on!

5- Try clothes on!

Whether you buy them online or in the store, try your clothes on BEFORE the session.  There is nothing worse than getting to the day of your pictures and it doesn’t work.  Take a little time to prep before hand.

6- Use a simple Prop

I chose to use this sweet little piano because it’s her favorite all time favorite at our house, so it truly reflects her stage right now.

We love their clothes! I order some for my son and I always order extra shirts as gifts.

She is adorable! It can be so hard to coordinate without looking “cheesy”!

I love how you chose an outfit that just adds to her personality! That’s always key for me- finding an outfit that is adorable yet isn’t too busy in that it detracts from them. We love Oshkosh!
