I’m beyond thrilled that my local Walmart is now offering Grocery Pick-Up and can I say I’m thrilled…actually beyond thrilled!  This only makes my life that much easier and I can spend less time grocery shopping and more time with my family!

Easy Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles

This past week for my meal plan I added these amazing and easy southern fried chicken and waffles to our meal rotation and just added it onto my Walmart Grocery app – wa-la…simple as that!

Next best part right now sign up for ibotta and earn money back on the purchase of Eggo variety (while supplies last)!

easy southern fried chicken and waffles

Here at our house we have breakfast for dinner probably at least once a week…it’s a family favorite that I can pretty much know the whole family will love and eat without any tantrums from the little!  That’s a mama win, right there…right?!  Easy Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles

Waffles are an all time fav at our house but when I can fancy them up it’s even better!  One of my go-to’s for our “brinner” is the easiest of easy chicken and waffles.  When I went to Charleston, SC several years ago I knew this was on my list to try there and it did not disappoint!  So my version may not be a fancy gourmet meal but it sure does the trick when I need a quick one for dinner one night!

What you need to make Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles

  • Kellogg’s® Eggo Thick & Fluffy Original, 6ct or 12ct
  • Fried Chicken (I usually cheat and get frozen – face palm)
  • Maple Syrup

Step by Step:

  1. Cook your fried chicken according to your choice
  2. Toast your Eggo waffles according to the box – approx. 8-10 minutes are perfect for us, so I always make sure I start the chicken first
  3. Heat your maple syrup to be warm.
  4. Serve

Serve with a side of cheesy southern grits and it’s a meal I call DONE!Easy Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles

Eggo Thick & Fluffy Waffles are new and improved with more flavor than ever with the ORIGINAL now with Madagascar Vanilla!  I feel like using the Eggo thick and fluffy Belgian style waffles brings a homemade and premium feel to our whole “brinner”!  Easy Southern Fried Chicken & Waffles_7622

Don’t get me wrong Eggo waffles are a great solution for so many reasons and occasions! Just like you make at home…only now with no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources.  Not to mention they are simple, quick and who doesn’t like them?!?  Including our second favorite -> Kellogg’s® Eggo Thick & Fluffy Cinnamon Brown Sugar Waffles.

Don’t miss The Eggo Waffle Bar Truck will be driving around to visit Walmart stores around the country, click below to see if they are coming to a Walmart near you!
