Are you looking for some quick and easy fall decor ideas for this season? I’m excited to share some tips that make decorating easy, fun and fast. You can stay simple with these decorating ideas, or you can go all out…either way, it will be a winner for your decorations! Before we decorated, we had to paint a pumpkin. What screams fall more than that?
Easy Fall Decor Tips
1- Lighting – create a fun atmosphere
Philips Hue is a smart lighting system that allows us to have full control over every aspect of our home lighting. I use the Hue app on my smartphone to personalize our lighting, and I can choose from 16 million colors or every shade of white light to match our mood and create our desired ambiance. A big plus…I can also control our Hue lighting with my voice – I just ask Amazon Alexa.
I also added a smart lighting system light to our system. Why? because when plugged into a power outlet, you can use it to paint your walls with colored or white light. Unplug it from the power outlet, and you can carry the Philips Hue Go to bring the best light to any of your activities. So, I can use this portable light on my porch, in a corner in a room or even as a centerpiece for a table scape! It’s powered by a rechargeable internal battery and can last up to 3 hours. After our night time fun outside, we bring our light inside with us (as it’s not waterproof), so we can use it for some fun decorating inside, too.
2- All things pumpkins – you really can’t go wrong with large pumpkins, small pumpkins, gourds or anything in between. I usually pick up a lot of pumpkins and then just play with it when I get home. I can use them on my front porch, on a table scape, on an end table…really ANYWHERE!
Place small pumpkins in a basket, a large glass canister/jar, a bread bowl or just take a large white or orange pumpkin and place it on the floor next to an end table or coffee table – it really brightens up the house for a fun, festive look.
3- Accent pieces – So, no matter if you are going with a traditional fall look or a Halloween look, you can accent with scarecrows, spider webs, bats, hay, plaid blankets or change out pillows on a sofa.
