What to do in Orange Beach & Gulf Shores
When we went to Orange Beach & Gulf Shores last week we booked via TripAdvisor to go on a Sunset Dolphin tour via jet skis! I decided to treat my two older nieces to this amazing excursion because it was something brand spanking new for them. At first they weren’t too sure about this…but as we got going on the jet ski they were squealing and laughing and having a grand time.
We were on a private tour with a guide…and as we were getting on our jet ski a young couple came into the dock as we were leaving tell us how they had just seen about 15-20 dolphins in a certain cove, so our guide was going to take us there first. Well we found our way to the cove, only to sit there for a few minutes to see nothing. I was praying we’d see dolphins so that my two nieces would have a thrill of a life time. Thankfully a few minutes later all the way across the bay I saw a dolphin fin – so I pointed in that direction to our guide and off we went to see if we could spot more.
As we sat there on our jet ski – we began to see dolphins swimming all around us…so many more than 15-20…we were beyond thrilled and excited. Talk about the highlight of our trip to Orange Beach this year! This memory will go down in the books for a lifetime I cam imagine.
Hop over to my Instagram to see the video of us on the jet skis and the dolphins swimming around us. It was hard to capture them all but our guide did this video for us along with taking pictures of us- talk about guide of the year – hands down ask for Kayla if you go!!! I will be honest I wasn’t too keen on taking my big dslr camera out in the bay or getting my iphone out – so the girls had disposable cameras, my mom went with us initially to take some cell phone pictures and then our guide took some for us too! What a fun time!
