If you are like me, we are a good six weeks into the New Year, which means I am circling back around to my journal to see what my goals are for 2018.  Time slips away and before I know it I haven’t been proactively working towards my goals!  I’m happy to say that I’m on track so far…but looking back over my list really helps me stay focused.

As a mom feeling confident can be a daily task, right?!?!  A few simple ways I’ve found that help motivate me in this area as a mom are:

1- Taking a little extra time in the mornings to do my devotions and drink my coffee.  If I don’t intentionally set this time aside, the day is half way over and this priority hasn’t taken place.

2- Self care time.  Using a few tools to help in my daily self care area of life.  Again as a mom this takes back seat because my family comes first.  Although doing a few extra minutes in my daily routine really does help my confidence.  Did you know that hair loses Keratin over time….Hair gets damaged and you may not know it!    GLISS® Hair Repair™ products combine patented keratin technology with essential benefits like color protection, intense hydration, long-lasting volume, and weightless nourishment, so you get the repair you need without having to compromise.  Using this product in my daily routine I know only strengthens my hair.

I snagged the Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Oil Nutritive Shampoo and Condition along with the Schwarzkopf Gliss™ Oil Nutritive Weightless oil…at my local CVS.  They are having an event starting from Sunday 2/11 – Saturday 2/17 where you Spend $20, Get $7 in ExtraBucks, Gliss will be on sale for 2/$10

I found this super interesting as well…because I would say most every lady would fall under these stress factors for their hair…

Hair Damage – Stress Factors

  • Mechanical influences i.e. combing, brushing
  • Temperature i.e. hair dryer, curling iron, dryer hood, flat iron
  • Environmental influences i.e. sunlight, salt water, chlorine water
  • Chemical treatments i.e. coloring, bleaching, perming

3- Spend time with those I love.  Spending quality time with those family and friends that I love really does inspire me and help me feel confident because it’s rejuvenating to me.

4- Get outside at some point in the day.  We try to go outside everyday for a period of time and explore…even on some rainy days, but if it’s really really cold we tend to stay in doors.  Here in the south we just don’t have the clothes for it so we tend to hibernate on very cold days.

5- Watch what I eat! I know it sounds simple but watching what I eat during the week really makes me feel better and confident.  Do I cheat?  Yes!  Usually when I’m away from home (because I don’t keep it in my house!)  or if I’m doing #3, as mentioned above – I think we tend to cheat on those family/ friends play dates we have!!

What are things you do to boost confidence?
