With springtime in the air, it’s birthday time here at our house and we are celebrating BIG! After all, any birthday is worth celebrating for the family and friends in your life, right?! After weeks of planning and coordinating, it all came together and was a blast!
I’ve learned over the past few years how much I love a good celebration of life and loved ones. I want to celebrate these special people as long and as much as I can. Each year I try super hard to make my family member’s birth-DAY special. Not every year do we get to celebrate on the actual day – so I still make the actual day extra special at home…then of course within the week, on a weekend, and we’ll also have a party with family and friends!
We invited family and friends over to celebrate. Instead of everyone bringing gifts, we opted for just a good family time; we played games in the back yard, enjoyed yummy food, played board games as it got dark outside and created memories together. With everyone’s busy lives it makes it hard to coordinate schedules to all get together, so we make it a big effort to carve out time for birthdays! Many times, we’ll combine with another family member only to capitalize on dates and times, making it less stressful to coordinate everyone’s calendars!
With family and friends coming around often, we like to stock up and what better place than Sam’s Club to snag some great deals?! When we are grilling and hosting, the club pack sizes make the most sense, which makes it easier as well. I can snag a pack of Ball Park® Beef Franks and a 10 lb bag of Tyson® Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts – and have all of the main meats covered!
Ultimate Hot Dog Bar Party Ideas
We decided to have a hot dog bar for the kids (and let’s be honest, the adults too!!!) along with some great grilled chicken and appetizers! FYI: Ball Park Hot Dogs will be on instant savings from 5/8/19 – 6/2/19 for $1.50 off.
On my shopping list for this big birthday event was:
- Ball Park Beef Franks (found in the refrigerated section at Sam’s Club)
- Tyson Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (found in the freezer section at Sam’s Club)
- Hot dog buns
- Hummus Dip
- Bottled Water
- Shredded Cheese
- Chopped Onions
- Hot Dog Chili
What else should I add for our future hot dog bars?
Thankfully Sam’s Club is a one stop shop – making it easy on this party planning moment! Planning parties and events takes a lot of time and effort if you are going to pull it off right! One way I cut a lot of time is planning my grocery list for one place –> Sam’s Club! You can also order online and then just pick up at your local Sam’s Club which I do quite often to help save me even more time.
