It’s the time of year we all love…summer time. Water, sunshine, fun, vacation and traveling. The last two of course are our favorite! Although sometimes vacations can be stressful when it comes to planning, booking, deciding where to go, packing and the list goes on. Right mama? Thankfully there are answers to these stresses and Wyndham Vacation Rentals provided us with an exceptional travel experience that helped remove stress and anxiety for our vacation. Our vacation was like home away from home!
Stress-Free Family Vacation to Gulf Shores, AL
The stats say that more than one third of vacationers (37%) are burning out before they even check-in, admitting they delayed or even cancelled a vacation due to the stress of planning it!!! That’s crazy! So check out this sight to snag deal and itineraries. BeVacationReady.com
We started our day with the intention of not just getting in the car and busting it to get to our destination. So many times we just rush around and zoom straight to our destination. Rather this time we broke up the little drive and stopped in Fairhope, AL for lunch, coffee and dessert! We didn’t mess up on this stop, that’s for sure. If you are that way the Warehouse Bakery and Donuts is a must…even little Miss E agreed! I wish I had taken more pictures but I think I got caught up in the yummy food and fun atmosphere!
So we grabbed some dessert to go and continued our on our way, happy and full!
A thirty minute drive brought us right into Foley, AL…where there is some fun shopping. We hit up our favorite stores, wore Miss E out and let her sleep in the car as we headed to Gulf Shores, AL to the condo.
As we pulled up into the condo’s I was super excited. Wyndham Vacation Rentals had done it again…we weren’t high-fiving our neighbor and we had our own little house which was pure perfection. We brought along grandparents for this little vacation, which is always a plus! So the condo having separate bedrooms and bathrooms when traveling as a family was super nice not to mention we had the upstairs/downstairs so putting Miss E to bed early wasn’t an issue. So many times when we travel putting her down early for her normal bedtime is hard because we all want to stay up but having the separation was amazing.
During our stay I got SEVERAL texts/messages asking which exact condo we were in and here is the link to the Popsicle Wyndham in Gulf Shores you won’t be disappointed with your stay here…AT ALL!
Can I put an extra plug in for Wyndham Vacation Rentals? I’m a clean freak and that’s one of the big things when it comes to traveling and knowing we will be in a clean spot. Well no worries here. They are managed by a team of local professionals that ensure it’s clean and inspected before we arrive. I did a major happy dance because it as above my expectations!
Thank you thank you thank you, happy mama dance!
We were able to buy a bunch of groceries and save money there by eating breakfast and lunch at the condo. To me that’s a no brainer, more time spent vacationing than waiting in long lines at restaurants. Might I mention, especially with a toddler. Vacations have become so stressful for people and it’s not supposed to be that way.
We pretty much did the typical…hopped from the beach to the pool, to the kitchen to the bed to nap back to the pool and then the beach. It was so fun!
Mid way through our vacation our Papa and Daddy joined us. We were so happy they came over, especially little Miss E. We had a fun time introducing them to the pool and beach. We treated them to some yummy food too and explored a few new places to eat out.
We got a milkshake…like a deadly milkshake from “The Yard”. If you are an ice cream/milkshake fanatic this is a must for you. We waited in line for about a half hour and then about 45 minutes for our order to come out. It was worth it…just know ahead of time it’s always packed, from what I hear. It’s good. It’s a fun experience that’s for sure.
Oh I forgot to mention they also have edible cookie dough. After a few bites we couldn’t do much more!!!!!!!! So fun.
Our weather was quite perfect. Here on the coast you often get afternoon rain showers that make you go inside and rest for a bit. The pattern was a bit different this past week, we had rain in the morning and sunshine in the afternoons. We were good with that! We got to take our mornings at a slow pace and Miss E loved the indoor playing too. She got to color with markers, paint, play with toys they had there…new toys are always so fun along with a little screen play too…plus our favorite chocolate chip cookies. Oh she got spoiled on this vacation!!!!
At our condo they had a binder of restaurant recommendations and menus. That was so helpful, we weren’t wasting time searching on our own. They had one in the binder that was hand written on a piece of paper. I knew then this came highly recommended if this family took the time to hand write it and place it in the binder. So off we went to “the Gulf”.
Wow this place didn’t disappoint plus the engineer that my husband is he was in love with the vibe and aesthetics. He has always dreamed and talked about making a place out of shipping containers….low and behold he couldn’t get enough of it! I in the meantime loved the food along with everyone else. It was a place we would definitely go back to, highly recommend and if we weren’t leaving the next day we would have probably gone back on this trip!!!!!
As a professional photographer one of my favorite afternoon rides was driving down the highway and seeing the bright blue sky canvased with all of the bright buildings and condos. I love color and this was nothing to disappoint. As you can tell! Not to mention this was only like 1-2 miles of the way!!!!
The last night we were there we put the little one to bed and left my parents with her while we snuck out for a beach stroll at sunset. My favorite! The beach was relatively quiet, YAY! The weather was perfect and we just enjoyed each other, the water, sand and talking of our next vacation and dreaming of where we’ll go. It seems like everytime we end a really good vacation we are already talking about where we will go next. Like the West Coast or the West in general…like Colorado!!!!!!! That’s our dream!!
