Snacks for Long Road Trips
Are you headed on a road trip? One of the highlights when we travel are the snacks…lets be honest we all love to eat! It seems like calories don’t count on vacations – for some reason! Even when I was growing up I can remember traveling as a family and the highlight was the fun road trip snacks we could look forward to. There was something about the car ride that made you want to eat!
Honestly these snack ideas are great for toddlers, kids and adults alike. This is one of the reasons I usually go off of my travel snack list because I know my whole family will be happy! There are enough choices for everyone to choose what they like the best!
Now as I’m packing our car snacks I try to stay away from too much sugar…even those are fun…it seems we all get more wiggles…which isn’t ever a good idea when traveling in the car a good distance!
Quick Road Trip Snacks
As with any time we are traveling, my time is limited – so for the win I’ll do a quick Walmart grocery pick- up the day before we leave for our road trip snack list!!!! This helps me save time and energy – which I’ll take any day! I’ll say that these aren’t only on our travel list – they stay on our everyday grocery list as well!

Travel Snacks for Kids
I’ll always pick up several boxes of our favorite gluten free GOOD THiNS for road trips. GOOD THiNS are made with no artificial colors, flavors, or high fructose corn syrup.
They have several flavors to choose from that are gluten-free and that are packed full of robust flavor:
- GOOD THiNS Three Cheese
- GOOD THiNS The Corn One – Sea Salt
- GOOD THiNS Veggie Blend
- GOOD THiNS The Rice One – Simply Salt
I can’t say that we’ve had ones we don’t like…we have our favorites like the Three Cheese – but all of the flavors go well with our travel charcuterie board!!!!
When you are creating a charcuterie board – fill it up, make it full and inviting…many times you’ll just pull what you have from your cabinets or fridge and create a yummy tasting spread. This is exactly what I’ll do when traveling because this can create a great lunch when traveling or again just great snack choices to make everyone happy and our bellies happier!
Have you tried the GOOD THiNS? What is your favorite flavor? Ours is the three cheese – always the first box to be empty!
