I have days I feel very successful and accomplished.
There are days I don’t have that feeling as much!
There are days I tackle my to do list and knock it out in no time.
There are days I don’t get to mark off hardly anything on my to do list.
Can you relate? Do you have days like this? I’m sure I’m not alone in all of this…yet there are a few things I’d like to share that I have found to make my day more successful.
1- Simplify
Don’t slave over a four course meal if it doesn’t fit into your schedule. Just be simple and be thankful you can put a hot meal on the table. There are some days I’m thankful I can grab a quick lunch and actually eat in between taking the little potty, feeding her, cleaning up after her or just simply caring for her needs. She’s a toddler…so she is still needy even though she wants to be Miss Independent and “I do it by myself”!!!!!!!
I love keeping our freezer stocked with the all-new Tai Pei single serve line of Asian food. Nothing like a good serving of fried rice to get you through the day! Tai Pei entrees offer a wide range of choices each made with flavor-infused rice. One of my favorites is the Orange Chicken + Fried Rice <–snag a $1 off coupon to try it out and see for yourself!
2- Grace
This is the biggest thing you can give yourself in any given day for success. Your day may not go as planned – extend yourself some grace.
Give yourself grace. You know the day that the little one needs extra attention and wants you to hold them or play with them. Do just that, instead of stressing out about the clothes that need folding. I can promise you they’ll always remember you taking the time for them rather than remember that their clothes were always perfectly folded in their drawers.
3- My to do list
If I don’t make a list I’m not going to accomplish a single thing because my mind will constantly be on “side tracked” mode. Having a list gives me small goals throughout the day to accomplish. There are things that certain tasks that have to get accomplished on certain days for me since I work from home. I also have a “running to do list” of things that need to be done but aren’t pressing against a calendar date. This list I look at when I have a little extra time and I tackle something on this given list.
