Search for Seashells at the beach then enjoy an easy shell craft for preschoolers while painting seashells. Seashell Painting for Preschoolers is a fun steam activity that encourages learning through fun.  Painting seashells as a craft is hand painted art that you and your preschooler will love.

painting seashells preschoolersLast week with our painted seashells we learned some screen free coding + free printable using our shells.  That was loads of fun – so this week we did something a bit more on the Art side of learning.

We were at the beach week before last and one of my preschoolers favorite activities was walking the beach and picking up seashells!  So I got creative and we decided to have fun hand painting seashells!

STEAM ACTIVITIES FOR PRESCHOOLERS

Remember the entire process with STEAM is so vital and important. If you are new to the idea of STEAM Activities for Kids and the process please be sure to hop over to my article on Everything You Need to Know about STEAM.  Here I try to go in depth on why STEAM is important in Early Childhood Education.

Let your preschooler explore as this is the whole idea and process of learning through STEAM – hand painting seashells!

Also remember STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.  So how can you incorporate these five areas into this activity?easy seashell craft

— Sure they’ll mix the colors, sure it won’t be as perfect as you had hoped for…but in the end they’ll be the cutest most adorable seashell creatures you ever did see!

— Let them explore mixing colors- but talk about what they are doing, what colors they are using, what two colors make a new color etc.

— Compare the sizes and shapes of the seashells they are painting.
