I don’t know about you but I know I am so ready for the fall weather which includes more coffee and more pumpkin this and that, along with opening my windows in the house and going on more walks with my little one. Before we go any further I have to admit I’m not a fan of the PSL.  Sorry…I have tried…I have tried to make myself like it…I can’t, I just can’t.  Ok so for you fans of the PSL don’t hate me and hang with me, ok?hair loss tips postpartum

Since I’m in the Deep South it will be a bit longer before the cooler weather dips down here, in the meantime I’m prepping my closet and myself for the fall.  In the meantime I get to watch the trending fall fashion unfold before my eyes all over my social media and I can drool over your adorable boots and scarves while I’m still in flip-flops and sundresses…until then I’m prepping and waiting!

So I’m prepping two things…

1 My Closet-  So two fall seasons ago I was pregnant.  Then last fall I was nursing a baby and working on getting my baby weight off so honestly I haven’t prepped much in the department of my closet the last two seasons.  I know that’s awful but it was like why?  Why bother when I’m crossing my fingers the weight will come off and I know in a matter of months my little one won’t be nursing any longer and I won’t feel constrained to nursing clothes.  So I endured and didn’t add much of anything to my closet last fall!

So this season I’m having fun with the new trends and adding some to my collection!  Here are a few of my favorite postpartum fashions:

  • Blanket Scarf –  Who can wear this when they are holding an infant all day and night as well as nursing…yep this wasn’t in my closet the past two seasons!!  This year it’s already stocked in my closet for the first cool snap and I’m loving it.  I can’t wait to wear it on a cold day and feel all cozy and stylish.  I will admit I’ll have to practice how to wear it/ tie it!  Watch out youtube and pinterest here I come!copperly boutique
  • Trending Color- I love the new fall mustard color…I snagged a mustard sweater that I can’t wait to wear with leggings or jeggings this fall!  Again this is so cozy and comfy, not to mention the perfect top to hide any postpartum shifts that occurred that you haven’t become friends with yet!  What’s your favorite trending color for Fall 2016?screen-shot-2016-09-19-at-7-03-12-pm
  • Booties- I’m still on the search.  I can’t decide if I like them or don’t…I know, I’m weird.  Can you convince me to like them?  To convince me you need to show me an adorable pair, not just the same old, same old that everyone else is wearing!
  • Layers- As much as I LOVE layering it’s not so practical down here, but we’re going on a vacation this fall and I think I’ll need some layering there!  PLUS most anywhere else in the world layering is the key to staying warm and dressing for winter.  So again with the fall fashions of layering this is perfect for the postpartum body…right?

2 Hair-  So we all know after months of hormone changes your hair has felt it too…not just your hips or your thighs.  I had major loss of hair, not like anyone could tell kind of major loss, just I felt like I’d pull handfuls out at time!  PLUS after the summer sun and the chlorine in the pool it’s time to prep the hair for fall…no more ponytails…well I can’t lie messy buns are always in when you’re a mama!!!!!  postpartum hair loss tips

Stop and pause with me for a second…you know the feeling when you’re in the chair at the salon and you are loving the smell of the shampoo and products they are using?  You know… they want you to buy them and you really want to… but my goodness you are already paying more than you want for this cut…because you have a hard time justifying the price but it’s worth it in the end…but you can’t add anymore to the tab.  You know that feeling?  Yes?  Well it’s real for me too…and so I tried the Suave Coconut Oil products that I found at Walmart and they honestly work just as well and I’m loving it, not to mention we love all things coconut at our house…so when I wash my hair with the Coconut Oil Shampoo the smell makes me hungry all the time!  It smells sooooooo good…like salon good!! hahapostpartum fashion tips

My hair is thick and heavy anyway so sometimes I have to be careful with conditioners that they don’t make it feel and look heavy, this Coconut Oil conditioner was so light and perfect.  I’m using the Coconut Oil Infusion treatment to help these flyaways and damage from hormones the last couple of years with pregnancy and nursing etc.  I’m excited and already loving the healthy feeling with it.  I have heard these products are becoming popular and some couldn’t even find them in their local Walmart so…. Visit your local Walmart to try out all of the new 2016 Suave Professionals collections: Coconut Oil Infusion, Coconut Milk Infusion and Biotin Infusion, while supplies last!
