From the very beginning our little E has loved music.  I think it’s in her genes, honestly.  As for myself, I’ve been a piano teacher for the past 19 years.  Then her daddy loves singing and playing music as well, I don’t think she stands a chance!  Although I think she heard a lot of good music while in the womb as well which impacts her even to this day.

Now that she’s more independent I have tried to facilitate through her toys and development skills – music.  We have the small wooden instruments, we have the xylophone toys, we play music around our home and she especially loves it in the car.  Music is a way of learning and we try to make a part of our everyday life.

Her recent favorite is the Lamaze Toy, Octotunes.  He actually has a whole octave that we can play together with, making music and songs.  He’s super colorful and has different textures as she touches him and squeezes his tentacles to play music. His floppy-ness encourages the touch and pull for her development as well.  Lamaze toys are backed by child development experts to be the best in class for your baby and help to promote healthy development during playtime.  This just only solidifies in my mind that these are not just any ordinary toy in our home!

As we have these toys out and out in our home it seems even when we have friends over to play they are naturally drawn to these colorful and “noise” making toys too!

On a side note little miss E is obsessed with babies.  When I say obsessed I mean quite literally, which means she loves baby dolls as well.  When she saw this “My Friend Emily” Doll she kept saying baby…baby.  I know she was drawn to it for the color and textures…for a baby this would be a great first doll to help develop and stimulate the vision, sound and touch.

Lamaze Toys are specifically designed with every stage of your baby’s development in mind. Make your baby’s playtime healthy with Lamaze Toys, and shop Amazon for the latest products!
