Happy Two Tip Tuesday!

Ready for some Photography Tips and Tricks to kick your images up a notch?

Lets get going…Did you see last weeks with more composition tips?  You might want to catch up and go back…Here.

Photography-Tips-and-Tricks-

Composition: Angles

Lets chat about angles…angles can be good and bad.

#1

Be careful to not tilt your camera…where your head has to actually turn to look at the image and what/who is in the image.  There is nothing worse.  I think all to many times people think that’s what makes them a professional photographer is angling their images….when in reality it shows you are an amateur.  Angling can be done well…but often it is not.

Image on Left: Angled your head has to turn to see the subjects face

Image on the Right is straight and lined up.  To top it off you want to keep it straight seeing all of the lines in this image. (more on that coming in another Two Tip Tuesday!)

A good angle is your position on the subject.

Simply put do not always look straight on your subject.  Think of a different angle you can take the picture from.  This will create interest and creativity.

As you see this example of four images…each image shows a different perspective, therefore creating interest and uniqueness…even though it’s all the same subject.

Think…where can I stand or place myself to create interest.

Great tips! I got one of those exact angles when I visited Mission San Jose, too!
