I know winter activities are the rage right now but in our girl house it’s all things Valentines Day! We eve tried this fun & easy science experiment for preschoolers – which we LOVED – making crystal borax hearts!! We are focused on Math in this STEAM activity along with using fine motor skills. Using conversation hearts and this math mat: 1- Sort conversation hearts into colors. 2- Count each sorted pile of conversation hearts. 3- Using the math mats – do basic addition with the math mats. (subtraction or numbers) 4- Use dice to roll a number and place that in an addition/subtraction box…then have the preschooler or kindergartner add those two numbers up. How to Make Fall Suncatchers If you are looking for a super easy fall preschool craft then this one is for you! It requires minimal supplies as well as minimal prep for teacher/mama! Materials Needed: Clear Contact Paper Orange Construction Paper Brown Construction Paper Green Construction Paper Glue Leaves, flowers grass etc. To get started you’ll want to free hand a pumpkin on your orange construction paper. This is where you have freedom to make a large pumpkin, medium size or small pumpkin. We went with medium size so I could get two pumpkins out of one sheet of construction paper. Cut out your pumpkin, then cut out the inside of the pumpkin…so you’ll see the width of my pumpkin is about 1/3″ wide. Next cut out a green leaf and a brown stem.
