Inside: We had a blast with this super easy coffee filter science experiment turned Mothers Day STEAM Activity for toddlers – the perfect science experiment for toddlers, preschoolers or kindergartners! We used our final flowers to create a bouquet for a Mothers Day Gift that preschoolers can do.
What started out as an Easy Science Experiment Project for Toddlers and Preschoolers ended up in a sweet artistic Mothers Day Gift, flower bouquet. We have made more coffee filter flowers than we know what to do with! It has been so much fun so we plan on getting some bouquets ready for Mother’s Day gifts here in the next few weeks.
Why STEAM? Which is science, technology, engineering, art, and math. When it all comes together it makes up STEAM. STEAM is really STEM with the addition of Art. Why is STEAM so important? Because STEAM gets the creative juices flowing! Kids are thinking, doing, creating, exploring, observing, and learning!
UPDATE: We’ve added some more great Mother’s Day Crafts to our collection by making our own puffy paint and creating a Mother’s Day Gift!

We are a husband and wife team, pairing our strengths together to teach our preschooler in the most fun and engaging way we possibly can. The mister is a high school educator at Northlake Christian school in Covington Louisiana and over the Innovation Center, which is all things STEAM. I am a SAHM that blogs pretty much everything we do in our little paradise, from what we eat, to where we travel to how we teach our little one. We hope you are inspired to incorporate STEAM into learning with your children.
