If you ask me what my favorite meal is… or rather what I choose to eat for my “birthday” meal each year…it’s the infamous Meatballs and Spaghetti. Seriously. Nothing fancy. Just a down to earth, good old home cooked meal…you know the comfort food we all love?
Then if you look at my weekly meal plan, well I pretty much make my meal plans every two weeks…you’ll also find at least spaghetti…but hopefully I’ll throw meatballs with it too. I love it. What can I say? Thankfully my husband likes it too…and making it another super easy meal that my toothless toddler can eat too! Bless her, she’s working on getting more teeth!!!
So with all of that, did you know that March 9th is a National holiday? Yep, it sure is! Can you guess what it is? You probably only need one guess: National Meatball Day! So guess what we are eating on Thursday March 9th at our house? Spaghetti and Meatballs. This time I’ve tried the Cooked Perfect Meatballs that I sent my husband to the store to find (–> you can locate them in your area HERE! )…He asked if they were in the freezer section…um he guessed right on that one!!!! haha
So we recommend you try this for the national holiday coming up too!!!! Cooked Perfect Meatballs passed our taste-test…with select cuts of meat, real cheese, savory herbs and spices, they make for a delicious meal! With their variety of flavors, you just can’t go wrong!
I plan on serving this quick and delicious meal with some yummy garlic bread, a side salad and I just might get fancy and add in a dessert for the occasion! So mark your calendars and join us for this GRAND (at least in my books!) national holiday!
Spaghetti & Meatballs Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 Bag Cooked Perfect Meatballs- Italian Style (or any variety)
1 Box of Spaghetti Noodles
1- Jar Spaghetti Sauce
Parmesan Cheese
Instructions:
- Place Cooked Perfect Meatballs on cookie sheet and heat according to the packaging.
- In the meantime boil your noodles in a stock pot while in another small pot heat your spaghetti sauce.
- When your noodles are soft, drain the water and you’re ready to serve.
- Place a serving of noodles, topped with sauce then added meatballs.
- Top with parmesan cheese. It’s that easy and equally yummy!
PS next on my list is to try these additional flavors, the Homestyle Meatballs and the Angus Beef Meatballs!! I couldn’t pass these up in the aisle and plan on trying a little twist on the recipe by adding these to my recipe next time!
