As a mom I daily remind myself…as I’m sitting here on this cool fall morning…
it’s the little things that matter. Like watching my little E be creative and using her imagination. She loves her kitchen and her new Jr. chef outfit by AeroMax Toys. –> more of why I love these toys below!
I get so caught up in me. I’m going to be honest…because when it comes down to it, that’s all it’s about and I have to stop and remind myself it’s NOT about me…it’s about the little girl God has so graciously given to me.
It’s not about my schedule anymore.
It’s not about my to do list anymore.
It’s really not about what I want to eat or drink, because in the end she’ll have eaten half of it and back washed in my drink…
It’s not about me…
God has entrusted her to me to invest in…to raise…to teach…to play with…to enjoy…to love…all of this is a daily privilege. I want to look it as a task sometimes…and it’s not. It’s a privilege and it’s a joy.
It’s the little things…
stopping to “eat” her pretend pancakes and “spyrup”, as she calls it…
it’s wiping up spilled juice…
it’s wiping a snotty nose, some days…
sometimes it’s merely going outside to swing and see her delight in what she loves…
it maybe letting her call the shots, when all she wants me to do is sit and snuggle…guess what my to do list WILL wait…
it might just be teaching her a bible verse…or singing her favorite Sunday School song with her…
it could be just stopping and sitting on the floor to be silly and hear her laugh…
could it be filling up the juice cup for what feels like the hundredth time that day…
maybe it’s even the whiney days when she’s tired…which just a way of God slowing me down to be present with her…
as a mom…somedays those all seem like inconveniences…really…
in reality, moms those are the BIG things God has called us to do…this is what will impact our little ones which is the next generation.

As I was browsing Aeromax I loved all that they offer, and have for over 20 years, for dress up and imaginative play. Their category full of My 1st Career Gear is too0000 adorable! It makes me want to be a kid again and since that’s not reality it makes me want to buy all of these outfits for my little E as she grows up!
