Many customers use Alexa’s  skills every day to make their lives a little easier and a lot more fun. Now with Skill Blueprints, you can make your own skills and truly personalize Alexa for your home and family. After set up, simply say commands such as, “Alexa, let’s play a game”; “Alexa, help me relax”; “Alexa, help me get started with skills”.how to use alexa echo blueprint

I was a bit intimidated at first, but after exploring this idea I quickly fell in love with all that we can do with our Alexa by using the Skill Blueprints!  We celebrated my husbands 39th birthday yesterday and the Skill Blueprints inspired me – Alexa is always ready to help or entertain in ways that matter to you and your families…that “she” did!  We had a fun birthday party using Alexa Skill Blueprints! alexa echo how to use alexa skill blueprints alexa skill blueprints how to use alexa skill blueprint blueprint skills alexa echo

How to Use Alexa Skill Blueprints

First you may ask:  What is a Blueprint?  Alexa Skill Blueprints allows you to make your own Alexa skill for personal use on your Alexa-enabled devices. With over 20 templates in six categories, you can create personalized flash cards, make your own family game, build household chore charts, and much more.

Your second question is probably: How do I create a Blueprint? To hear a sample Blueprint, just ask, “Alexa, let’s try a Blueprint.” To create your own, visit blueprints.amazon.com to get started and it’s SUPER duper easy!!!!

Log in: You’ll simply log into your Amazon account.

What you’ll need: You’ll also want the Alexa App so you can manage your skills blueprints from your hand held device.

Create Your Own: You’ll head online to create your personalized skills blueprint…this is where I created a few fun things for our birthday party…like personalizing the birthday trivia game – which was all about the birthday boy.  We had our Alexa sing Happy Birthday as we surprised daddy when he walked in the door.alexa skills blueprints

Since we were having a birthday party celebration I naturally chose the birthday trivia!

Here is where you can completely personalize and customize your trivia – including personal names, personal questions, silly questions, serious questions or just bizarre questions all to be asked by Alexa – then to have a guest answer and then the birthday boy/girl has to let Alexa know if that answer was correct or not!

We loved the applause and congrats given when we answered a question right!!!!

The only downfall – I asked Alexa to clean up my house and kitchen after the party but she couldn’t help 😉
