Today I’m sharing lots of pictures from our family vacation to Maine this past July. It was a wonderful week away from our busy summer of not only the heat but the house project. The mister had the goal to have the whole house shedding water before we left. That meant he (along with my dad and then his dad coming down for two weeks!) spent a very long and hot 10 weeks working on the house to get it framed. At 9:00 the night before we flew out the house was completely wrapped and tools were locked up. I was so happy that he met his goal…even though it was down to the last day, hour and minute a goal met is a goal met!
We flew out and had a wonderful eight days in Maine visiting family, meeting new cousins, relaxing at this families camp on the lake and seeing our little Elle explore Maine for the first time. She had a GRAND time in the water and loved every minute of it! She was such a trooper! Our best days were spent at the camp, on the water, sitting around the campfire at night, making smores, playing games, kayaking and going sailing (for my first time ever the mister got to show me his sail boat skills), being with family and most of all making memories as a family with family.
Hi I’m Erin a Southern mama from South Mississippi, owner and chief editor of Sixth Bloom a blog helping mom-tographers capture their kiddos and life, talking all things home, parenting and how we navigate through life. You will find me living life to the fullest with my mister (aka husband) and our little one year old, Miss Elle, in our 500+ sq foot cottage as we build our dream house on our two acres! We are blessed beyond measure, love to travel, involved in ministry at our church and in between all of that I run three successful businesses!
