We have had a fun and exciting Easter paired with Spring Break! Bringing you an update from our personal little paradise!
Our little E got to experience “dying” eggs with her cousins for the first time. She was more intrigued with the colorful plastic eggs and opening/closing those. She’s still hanging onto her plastic eggs and plays with them multiple times a day…and has added rocks to that collection as well! Hey, the simple things are the best!
We enjoyed spending Easter Sunday as a family in church – worshipping our Risen Savior. Followed by lunch with our family at my parents house, then of course our much needed Sunday naps followed by our Sunday evening service at church!
Monday brought us the start of a busy week working on the house. The mister got all of the corners of the house prepped for siding…which then led into the rest of the week where he and I worked on siding. Miss Elle hung in there with us a lot…but a big thanks went to my sister and mom for watching her a good bit for us to just roll! Our goal of course was to finish siding…but we didn’t! That’s ok without a goal we’d have no target to aim and would miss…rather we set out a goal and like to think we *almost* achieved it! As you can see it was a week of letting a lot of things go…like the cottage, the laundry, matching clothes for Elle of myself for that matter, early morning breakfasts with daddy on the front porch, second breakfasts – cinnamon rolls – full of sugar, extra cups of coffee and lots of good family time …kind of one of those weeks that in a way was so good all around! Hoping to knock out the rest of the siding here soon.
