Thank you Council for Responsible Nutrition for sponsoring this post. This is #MyWeekSupplemented.

My daily routine certainly includes taking supplements to better my health and body.  The more I read, the more I learn and the more I hear others talk I realize how much I enjoy learning about the body, health and the benefits of supplements.

I would say for the past 15 + years I have been taking supplements daily and it’s amazing the difference it makes in my daily life as well as in the “long run” as we’d say.  Why supplements?  Because honestly it’s quite hard trying to get all the essential nutrients we need from diet alone.  So for me to use dietary supplements I know I’m filling in the nutrition gap that I lack from my diet.

Did you know that 76 percent of U.S. adults take dietary supplements each year, according to a survey from the Council for Responsible Nutrition.  Some don’t know where to begin when it comes to including supplements into your daily routine.  I highly recommend talking with a doctor or other healthcare practitioner about what dietary supplements are right for you.

I truly believe that we still have to engage healthy habits such as exercising regularly and eating a balanced diet!  Nothing is more important than my health and that of my family.  A few practical ways I try to incorporate supplements into my daily routine are through vitamins, probiotics, herbal teas and protein powders which I love to include in a homemade protein ball snack.

I’m sharing my DIY travel vitamin organizer with you all.  It’s super simple and probably includes items you already have which is a huge plus!

What you need:

  • snack bag size bag, one per day or one for am and one for pm (depending on your needs)
  • washi tape
  • binder ring or key chain ring
  • hole punch
  • marker/pen
  • small pouch (optional)
  1. Make a bag per day or per time of day you need.  If I’m going to be gone a three day trip I make a three day set.  It’s pretty self explanatory there, I believe!
  2. Use your washi tape to place on each bag to write your day/time + it just makes it cute, right?
  3. Label each bag according to your need
  4. Punch a hole in each bag.
  5. Place on your binder ring in order of days
  6. Place in a small pouch if you’d like, this is totally optional, again just cute!
