There are very few things I grab every time we leave the house for a day trip or overnight trip…and one of those happens to be my little Emergency Grab and Go bag/kit of essential oils.  There are just those few that we use quite often and are great to have on hand at all times.

So, I want to share with you which ones those are for us and why!  The nice part about each of these essential oils is that they can be found in several nationwide stores, so if you are away from home you are always certain you can find them. I snagged these from my local Walgreens just within 2 miles of my house!   They carry the Nature’s Truth® aromatherapy products which are very versatile and can be used in unique ways.  Save $1 on your purchase!

Now, your go-to oils may be different than ours and honestly as our family needs change from time to time I’ll swap different oils in or out!  So don’t be afraid to steer away from what I’m recommending…this is just based on our family needs at the time!

Eucalyptus –

  • Unappealing to Insects! 8-10 drops mixed with distilled water- place in a misting bottle and spray! The scent of essential oils can be found as unappealing to bugs.
  • Massage Therapy – massage 1 tsp coconut oil + one to two drops to muscle area. The scent of Eucalyptus provides a soothing atmosphere for a massage.

Lavender –

  • Bath time for relaxing and calming–  Drop a few drops into your bath water.

Lemon –

  • Aroma Enhancer– it’s a great and clean smell for your car, home or if you are staying in a hotel overnight!

What are your favorite oils and uses for those oils?  I’m always open to learning and knowing more of what can help me and my family!

We also enjoy diffusing these oils in our car and house…many times we will combine different essential oils to create different beneficial aromas!  For more inspiration on the combos and ideas visit the Nature® Truth’s Aromatherapyt site.
