Raised Salt Painting – Fall Pumpkin
Looking for an EASY science experiment? The easiest is Salt Painting and perfect idea for painting for toddlers for a fall activity. Can I speak from experience? Listen to me, this is the easiest science and art activity EVER! Our first raised salt painting was an easter egg –> Spring STEAM Science Experiment. So for us it’s a favorite…I wish you’d try it and agree with me! I have to say I don’t have a messy toddler or preschooler so for us it’s super simple and we love it. When I say we love it, we do a salt painting activity probably at least once a month! The older she gets the more creative she gets, the less messy this becomes and the more hands free it is for me as the teacher! Isn’t this our goal? I know it’s mine, to have some activities that are engaging, unique, fun and ones she’s asks me to do…not to mention the end goal is to create an activity that she can do herself and give me some free time! Let’s be honest….that is my goal on some activities these days! As we are approaching fall and the season of pumpkins…I thought […]

Newborn Photography Through my years of photography experience I’ve learned so so soooo many things about newborns and babies that I want to pass on the knowledge to you. Seriously this guide can be used for learning how to document a birth story to a new mom bringing her baby home from the hospital or for someone wanting to learn the techniques and poses for newborn pictures. We will go step by step through the newborn photography process and point you in the right direction through this post. But before we get started let’s talk about what makes a newborn session a lifestyle session vs a styled session. 9 Amazing Astrophotography Camera Tips
Are you dabbling in Astrophotography and Landscape photography? You want to get the best DSLR camera for astrophotography and lens. Astrophotography Camera Landscapes – From Sunset to Sunrise I’ve always been a bit of a night owl. Sleep all day, up all night. Even as a teenager I can recall my mum constantly having to drag me out of bed. Most people grow out of it, whereas I did not. Something which made our family hikes all the more difficult when growing up. Long wintery walks with a hot flask of tea. Sunny, albeit sometimes windy beach days with a few egg sandwiches. Don’t even get me started on my dads so called short cuts along the way. Memories and experiences that I will treasure for a lifetime. Days that nurtured my love for the outdoors, specifically the mountains, lakes, skies and seas of wales – my home country. The ideal playground for any landscape photographer..whether you’re learning the basics of photography or are an expert, it’s beautiful! Where, when and how do you begin? Astrophotography Tips Over the years I’d made a habit out of pinching my dad’s camera. Finally fed up of it, my parents gifted me my […]

With all of our family photography sessions, family travel and everyday life I wanted to create a Family Wall Art full of our memories- a big thanks to MPIX for sponsoring this post. Family Wall Art As a professional photographer I take so so sooooo many family photos…whether it’s in our everyday life, our travels, holidays or scheduling with another photographer for a family photography session. Either way I never ever lack for photos…which is a good thing, in my opinion! Agree? Part of the downfall of our digital culture and society is we take these pictures on our DSLR cameras, smart phones and other devices, yet they never get printed. Can I scream from the mountain tops to every single person…PRINT YOUR PICTURES!!!!! You’ll never regret having photo books, prints on the wall, canvas prints and the list goes on. I have so many photo books, pictures printed on canvas throughout our home and I’ve got several family wall art galleries. I don’t regret having any of those pieces in our home. I also don’t regret the investment spent on these prints. Photography Wall Art My favorite of all is all of our photography wall art. From creating themed […]

All opinions are mine alone. #ChooseMazola #CollectiveBias The seasons are changing, and fall is upon us in a few short weeks. To mark the month, September is National Cholesterol Awareness month. The delicious recipe I’m sharing with you today uses Mazola® Corn Oil. A clinical study showed Mazola Corn Oil reduces cholesterol 2x more than extra virgin olive oil. To learn more about this claim, see Mazola.com. I like making simple changes within a recipe to lighten it up and make it a better choice, so in this recipe, I made a few swaps. You can reduce saturated fats and cholesterol in your meals easily with simple swaps, such as substituting butter with Mazola Corn Oil. I used Mazola Corn Oil in place of butter for the pork loin, I swapped sweet potatoes vs. white potatoes, and when roasting my sweet potatoes, I swapped the corn oil vs. canola oil! Simple swaps can make a big difference without being stressful or changing things up a ton. Mazola Corn Oil is an all-purpose, cholesterol free cooking oil that is a smart heart-healthy* choice for your family. *See Mazola.com for more information on the relationship between corn oil and heart health. 13 Tips for Unique Wedding Photos
A Pro Photographer shares her best tips and secrets for unique wedding photos. She tells her favorite bride and groom poses and prompts to get artistic wedding photos. Best Wedding Camera & Lenses #1: The camera I use when taking unique wedding photos is the Canon 6D mark ii. #2: When it comes to lenses I choose to use lenses that may not be the normal when it comes to wedding photography. Artistic Wedding Photography #4: One of my favorite things to photograph on wedding days (and in all sessions) is the tiny details. I search for the things that […]
