A few facts in our household as of late…we just celebrated our little ones 1st Birthday!!!

1- Babies Don’t Keep.  How has it already been 365 days since I met this little girl?  Where did time go?  Those hard days that everyone told me you forget, I haven’t forgotten yet…but maybe one day.

2- Birthdays are for moms!  I’ve heard this a lot but now I realize what it really means.  I’ve spent the last days thinking back on “last year this time…”

3- We now don’t have a baby in the house, although she is my baby.

4- Birthday parties are a lot of work, but tons of fun!

5- Currently looking for a way to slow things down, yet I don’t think I’ll be too successful.  Unless you have some tips?

6- As I sit here and think back…all I can say is I am a Blessed Girl.  With a husband that is my steady rock and most faithful friend to a little healthy girl that calls me mama.  To our family that has been our biggest cheerleader during this year!

7- Lastly, being a mama is the BEST job in the world- THE END!

It’s amazing how a little cottage of 500 sq feet could be so full of fun.  It was full of family, laughs, smiles, giggles, food, yummy homemade ice cream (the kind you hand crank!), delicious strawberry/lemon cake, squeals, tears, whining, conversation, playing, opening gifts and banging on Elle’s piano!  Enjoy peeking into her party with us!
