Hello Toddlerhood! (a little video at the end of this post for extra fun!)
I keep reminding myself how much I love our little E’s independence. I really do. In all seriousness this is my absolute FAVORITE age so far. Yet the funny part, is I say that every.single.time we hit a new stage. Right now though…there is just something about her totting behind her Daddy as they walk to the garden…or as she climbs on the couch or bed all by herself…or she helps carry the grocery bags in. I love it.
On the other hand it’s amazing how fast time flies. Oh I know, as a first time mom, everyone tells you that…you believe it but slightly down inside there are days you don’t believe it. That’s when the old saying “the days are long but the years are short” really resonate and you can start to understand to stop and relish each moment. Since our little E is 22 months old – yes we’ll have an official two year old on our hands here soon- she’s potty trained but we still rely heavily on our Huggies diapers during nap time and night time. Huggies now come with increased absorbency at the same value plus you can snag $2 off using the Smart Coupon from Family Dollar -that which I did!!! Oh yes, we haven’t even given those up yet! Although I must say it seems like we go through our wipes WAY more than we did when she was a baby! These messes don’t get less or smaller…right toddler mamas? Huggies One & Done Refreshing wipes are packaged to ensure only one wipe comes out a time so there’s no waste and no drying out, talk about a lifesaver!!!
Not only do we go through them more it seems like she wants to help clean up too…and she loves wipes these days. I usually give her a couple when she asks…great time to learn to clean up messes too! Here are my top ways I find myself using wipes:
1 Faces – messy faces from dirt and outside play
2 Hands – always need cleaning…anywhere and everywhere
3 Craft Time – We love to paint and color with markers as a treat at our house…all washable of course so the wipes seem to do the job, right away!
4 Potty Time – I still use them when she goes poo-poo (sorry TMI!) but it’s just easier and a better clean!
5 Car Seat Messes – When we are on the road for a bit I’ll often times hand her snacks and juice because we know that’s the best occupier of time, right…or should I say tool to bribery for quiet moments!!!!! Well no toddler is going to not make a slight mess, even if it is a less messy snack!
6 Floor Spills – sticky messes from juice or snacks
7 Outdoor time – popsicles are a favorite and we all know those need extra love when cleaning up the sticky/wet hands and faces and necks and arms and bellies!!!!
8 Toys They love cleaning with the wipes and a huge plus to help them clean their toys!
Enjoy our fun video we made as simple reminder of our fun and journey as parents through toddler-hood!
