Hey Guys!  I am so excited to be collaborating with Sixth Bloom.  For today’s post I will be telling you about my workflow- starting from the process of booking a session to handing over the images to the client!

1- Contact

Normally the client will email me but most of the time I’m contacted through Facebook!  So from there we discuss pricing, type of session they want and when the shoot will take place.

2- Day of

On the day of the shoot, depending on the type of session, I like to look at Pinterest!  Pinterest is an amazing way to be inspired and gain ideas for a shoot!  I normally bring a few props with me to the session so I can mix it up.  Almost always, you can me with a pretty blanket and a retro looking chair that I probably found at Goodwill!!!  I like to make sure I give the client a large variety of different poses to choose from so incorporating the props really helps!

3- Session

My sessions normally run about an hour to an hour and a half.  When the session is finished, I speak to the client about the specifics!  I let them know how long it should take to receive their gallery and how I will be delivering the images.  I also explain how to use the website where their gallery comes from.

4-After the Session

My editing process takes about one week.  Sometimes if it’s during finals it takes about two weeks.  I know my clients get so excited and can barely wait to see the final product so I try to keep it quick!  That includes importing them to my computer, picking out my favorites and then editing.  I like to have very minimal editing on my images so it makes for a quick turn around time.

I always refer back to the quote “a little goes a long way.”  Just lightening up an image and sharing it can make ALL the difference in the world.  The program I use is Photoshop and I Love it.  It is super friendly!  When I am finished editing I then upload the images to an online gallery.  I use Pixiset.come because in my opinion it is a wonderful site to upload, share and deliver images to the client!  The site also does an extra quick sharpen to my images as well!

5- Wrapping it all up

After the upload I send the clients a link to their gallery and a download pin.  My clients love to use Pixiset because of the option to download them all.  The client has to then download the gallery and save the files to their computer.  EASY!

From start to finish I feel like my process has been very successful with clients.  I hope this benefits you and helps your business succeed!!

My name is Aleea! I have been a portrait photographer since I was 13 years old. I started out helping my mother carry her equipment when she would photograph weddings, and the rest is history! My favorite type of shoots are engagements! The love that two people share is just something that makes me so happy. Love is a beautiful thing and to be able to have the ability to capture that is a blessing!
