Are you a busy mom?  A busy wife?  A busy friend?  A busy sister?  A busy person?  You wear many hats, right? Let me guess you probably want to invest more time in the department of mom, wife, friend, sister, person etc.  Right?  I know I do and I have learned  a few clever ways to help me cut some corners especially since life is so busy.  I would love to hear from you on how you shave off time somewhere somehow!!  (chat with me in the comments and let me know your ways!)

save time

1- Set a timer and get it done.  A timer can be your best friend!  Do you have a daunting project or housework you keep putting off?  Set a timer and limit yourself…it’s quite motivating to get it done and beat that time!  Then the nice part about it, if you don’t get it all done in the allotted time then quit and come back to that project later when you can, at least you’ve knocked out some of the project!

2- If you don’t have to wash dishes, don’t!  Ok you may have a dishwasher, but still there is no reason to wash dishes if you don’t have to, right?  We currently don’t have a dishwasher in our little cottage but I can’t wait until we get the house finished and I have a dishwasher again!!  (oh- the little things!)  So my new best friend is the Dixie® To Go cups,…buy them, use them and enjoy them, you’ll thank me later!  With no effort or clean up you have no worries…which means more time to focus on being the best mom, wife, friend, sister, person etc!  The hubby has been testing them out in the mornings since he’s driving on his way to work…they have been leak resistant and have been so insulated that he’s had hot coffee on the way to work – pretty good on the go experience if you ask me!! save time

3- It’s been said but I’ll say it again…MAKE A LIST.  If you can stick to a list it keeps you focused and determined.  I am a firm believer in list making for every aspect of life.  I get so easily side tracked with out my to do list and not to mention it is so satisfying when you can mark it off!  It’s been proven that you get more done in a timely manner when you have a written list!  PLUS when it’s written down I don’t have to remember it in my brain…I know when the baby is napping I can run to my list and knock it down!
