It is no secret that I am not a morning person, that is when you have to wake up and get going when it’s still dark outside…that just goes against me. So, I do everything within my power to make our morning routine faster and smoother if at all possible.
3 Brilliant Ways to Make Morning Routines Easier
1- Easy Dinner: The first way is to make my dinner time simple and easy and yes that sometimes means having a convenient meal. I don’t put the pressure on myself to have a fancy home cooked four course meal…if I choose to do that I just know I have to cut out the time. Yet there are those crazy hectic busy days that time just doesn’t allow for it and so I choose convenience. Our favorite is hands down Marie Callendar’s…and lately our go to is the Creamy Vermont Mac & Cheese Bowl. Nothing screams more of a comfort food than cheesy warm pasta…if I use this as a main dish or paired, it’s a family favorite. Plus this mama likes it has no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors—grab a fork and savor every creamy-ooey bite.
There are so many great Marie Callendar’s meal options it’s hard to choose and know what to put on my menu list for the week – btw ordering online with Walmart grocery pick up is my new life saver, just saying! Anyway, last week we also tried the Marie Callender’s Sweet and Savory Sesame Chicken Bowl and talk about a great Asian flare we all loved! With no preservatives, and no artificial colors or flavors it makes this tasty dish even more hearty and delicious. This one is going on my weekly standard grocery list I’m pretty sure!!!
2- Prep the Night Before: I know it goes without saying but making our morning routine easier comes with me prepping EVERYTHING for the next day the night before. If a breakfast or a lunch can’t be prepped the night before it’s not on our list for a weekday meal. I’m telling you from drinks, to breakfast, lunch, snacks…everything is prepped the night before. Having an easy dinner saves me time in the kitchen where I can then, also have the extra time to prep for the next day.
3- Lay it all Out: If you are wearing it…lay it out. If you are taking it with you to work or school…lay it by the front door.
By me taking the time to do these three steps it helps be able to wake up, get dressed with no extra decisions or hassles…grab everything out of the fridge and at the front door and go! This saves a ton of time.
What are ways you make morning routines easier or even dinner routines? I’m all ears!

I finally got a crockpot with a removable liner and that’s made all the difference. I prep the night before, throw it in the refrigerator and then make sure I put the crockpot on the counter so I remember it in the morning!
