Two Camera Accessories I think are a MUST if you own a dSLR! There are few things I say are a must…I am a simple person…I don’t tend to buy frivolously just because it’s the “in thing to have” or because I have lots of extra cash sitting around. I just don’t buy like that. I like the tried and true as well as the practical side of things. From my experience two things I think anyone who owns a dSLR camera should have. #1 a camera bag…but not just any camera bag! I firmly believe in not advertising that I am toting around over $4k worth of gear at any given time. That being said, that’s when I’m packing light! *smile*. So why would I go buy a camera bag that 1- looks like a camera bag and 2- SAYS it’s a camera bag!!!! A few things I look for– well padded to protect your gear, versatile where I can stick my wallet, water bottle, snack and maybe lip gloss in it, something that’s comfy for me to tote around and of course last but NOT least something CUTE!!! I have a lot added to my SHOP. Some of my favorites include: Jo Totes Epiphanie Kelly Moore I love bags and purses anyway…I could go CRAZY with camera bags. oh.yes.I.could #2 Memory Card Reader The more I teach and talk to others the more I realize most everyone relies on their computers or their USB plugs to attach to their computer to camera to transfer their images. NO NO NO!!!! I highly suggest a CARD READER! They aren’t costly AT ALL. They will save wear and tear on your cameras and computers that aren’t necessary. Plus they are so much faster! They read the images off of your card onto your computer or hard drive faster. It’s worth every penny! At least in my opinion! I like to have a card reader that reads multiple types of cards i.e. Compact Flash or SD etc. You never know when you’ll need a different kind of reader, then you’ll have it! Check them out in MY SHOP! Maybe you know of other resources around these two tips, please do share in a comment below!! Did you find this to be helpful? Others will to- click share. Will you be back next week? Maybe you have a photography question you’d like to see answered? Leave a comment below and I’ll be sure to answer!
